About Us

We are George and Dianne Armstrong and live in Austin Texas.  Austin is the capital of the state and the home of the Texas Longhorns.  It is located in what is know as Central Texas and is the fifth largest city.  We are surrounded by the Texas Hill Country as well as many Lakes.

Both George and Dianne have had dogs all of their lives. George's first experience with the conformation show ring was with a Miniature Pinscher that he won through an essay contest at the age of nine from the Cajun Kennel Club, Lafayette, La.  Some success was achieved but was shorted by other sports, college and 20 plus years with the U.S. Air Force as a Medical Service Corps Officer.  After retiring as a Lt. Col, George and Dianne decided to continue what he had always wanted to do and that was to participate in
AKC show events.

Although our first Schnauzer was a pet that was supposed to be a gift for the son when he graduated from college but we fell in love with him and he never did leave our home.  From this pet we got our first show dog and showed him in conformation and obedience, finishing him with a CD title.  Realizing that we needed better quality dogs to compete in the conformation ring, we purchased a black champion male, CH Rainier's Black Sabbath (Ozzie) that produced our first home bred champion, AM/INT CH G & D Sundown Shelby, two times Best In Show winner from the Bred By Class.

We were fortunate to meet and now consider Anne Lockney of Ruedesheim Kennels a dear friend.  We owe Anne a big Thank you and appreciate her for allowing us to purchase our first show bitch AM/INT CH Ruedesheim Fascinating Rhythm (Skylar).  We started showing Skylar at 6 months of age and finished her championship approximately one year later.  She loved the show ring, as well as puppies and this was the start of our breeding program.

Our Miniature Schnauzers are our babies and they all live in the house with us.  All puppies are home raised and do not leave until they are socialized and at least 10 weeks of age.  As members of the American Miniature Schnauzer Club (AMSC), we breed for show but since we cannot show them all, the families that buy from us get a show quality puppy to enjoy as we do.  We breed to improve the standard and have achieved this in all three approved colors.  We will be glad to furnish you names of some families that have purchased a puppy from us to discuss the quality and temperament of our Miniature Schnauzers.

Although we have mentioned puppies, this website does not exist for the purpose of selling puppies but for educating prospective Schnauzer buyers.  If you are interested in purchasing a quality Miniature Schnauzer, you might want to email us, or you might want to start your search by reviewing the AMSC website for breeder referrals.  Our goal is to help you find a puppy that will give you much enjoyment for many years.

Please enjoy our site and don't hesitate to contact us with any questions!

*****To insure the health and longevity of our dogs, we feed and recommend Canidae dog food.*****
